Judo – Der Weinfelder Club offeriert seit Jahren sehr erfolgreich Trainingseinheiten «Swiss Adaptive Judo» für Judoka mit Beeinträchtigung. Seit Jahren findet der «Special Olympic Judo-Day» in Weinfelden statt.

Am Sonntag, 4. Februar 2023, integriert als technisch anerkannter Kurs, nahmen 45 Judoka am Special Olympic Judo-Day teil. Das Kursthema war Ji-Ta-Kyo-Ei – gegenseitiges Helfen und Verstehen zum beidseitigen Fortschritt und Wohlergehen.

So trainierten Judoka mit und ohne Beeinträchtigung gemeinsam. Dieses Jahr wurden Schulter- und Beinwürfen vertieft. Die drei Techniken (Uchi-Mata, Ippon-Seoi-Nage und Tai-Otoshi wurden durch spielerische Art in Übungen integriert, damit jeder davon profitieren konnte.

Nach einem feinen Spaghetti-Plausch von Gastgeberin Barbara Vonbank (JJJC Weinfelden), fand am Nachmittag traditionell das Mix Team Turnier statt. Alle Athletinnen und Athleten zeigten starkes Judo und Kampfgeist. Am Schluss blicken Coaches, Athleten und Organisatoren auf einen gemütlichen und lehrreichen Judotag zurück.
